Holy Hip Hop’s not so hidden agenda…

Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. 1 Corinthians 9: 19-23

The above verse was penned by the Apostle Paul, a man of God who is responsible for a large part of the New Testament. Paul was on to something, He discovered that as a free person in Christ that He was able to “become all things” to all people in order to reach some of them for the Kingdom of God. He realized that to reach the Jews he needed to speak their language…We are sure that He could have just as easily did what many modern day Christians do…just focus on the fact that they are right and they are telling the people the truth…but He didn’t….Why because his goal was to win them…not just inform them. There are many of us today within the Christian Community who are missing opportunities to win people over for Christ because our focus and emphasis is not on winning souls…it’s one of the biggest reasons why there are “christians” who sit and critique other christians and how they go about trying to win others…they ignore the end results and finger point and scoff at those who do it differently than them…

Holy Hip Hop or Christian rap artist are often the recipients of such rebukes and scoffing, merely because they are trying to win souls…but in a manner that differs from the traditional (and often unsuccessful) methods of the church. Unfortunately many of the scoffers fail to realize that it is merely another form of being all things to all people…they don’t take the time to take a closer look to see what takes place and that souls are actually being won…it is more than music…there is an agenda behind holy hip hop and Christian rap…and contrary to the charges made by some of these inflammatory ministries against it the agenda isn’t evil and it isn’t secret take a closer look and see what really happens and goes on within the world of Holy Hip Hop/Christian Hip Hop

Here are a few videos that give a bit of insight of some of what takes place within the realm of Holy Hip Hop…
