Watch Out…he’s lurking…

Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. Hey fam,

It doesn’t take a rocket science to see that the days are getting dark. We really must be on our guard, or as the King James puts it…we must be sober and alert. The enemy is lurking to see whom he can devour…don’t let him catch ya sleepin. A good friend always uses the analogy of preparing the best tasting lobster. He says that you don’t just dump the lobster into a pot of boiling water. Instead you place it in a lukewarm pot and gradually turn up the heat…the lobster will just sit back and relax and will be dead before he knows what hit him…the end result…a juicier more tender lobster.

What does that have to do with being on your guard…it’s simple. Sometimes we might expect the enemy to hit us with a full frontal attack. But that is not always the case. Sometimes he just lulls us into the lukewarm waters of complacency and once we are there and relaxing he gradually turns up the heat…before we know it we are in a full boil and it’s curtains for us.

The best way to be on your guard is to be proactive. Be busy doing what God has called you to do, don’t fall for the traps. Watch out fam….he’s lurkin…don’t let him catch ya!
