Escaping Me – Brinson: A Review

First Impression

On Aug 5th the Founder and CEO of GodChaserz Entertainment A. Brinson Wright, (Brinson) will release his debut album Escaping Me. Until now we have only been getting short glimpses of Brinson’s creative genius, through his guest appearances on other artist tracks. Some of us have even seen his humorous side in those hilarious Extreme Witnessing Videos, and even on tracks like “Too High” and “Gospel Aerobics” (Dat’s Gospel Mixx CD) Since 1994 GCE has been making music and advancing the Kingdom of Heaven, I was curious to see if Escaping Me would continue in the GCE trend of raising the standard.

My mind was filled with all kinds of thoughts and expectations as I prepared to listen to “Escaping Me.” From what I already knew about Brinson, he always has something to say. I wondered if we would see more of his humorous antics, or would he come out locked and loaded like Jovan Mackenzy. Maybe he would just do something edgy, bold and risky like be himself. I even sat a few moments taking a closer look at the album art looking for any hidden metaphoric meaning. Finally I put an end to all of the speculation, pushed play and prepared myself for everything that Brinson had to say…and boy did he have a lot to say!  (continue reading)

    This is a great review for a great album. I purchased this album and I haven’t had any regrets. It’s tight! I love this album. It’s a complete project.
    If you don’t have it, you gotta get it.
