That Dress…

Posted in hip hop devotions, hip hop sermons, urban christians, urban ministry by holyridaz on January 24, 2009

I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety…

That simple passage from 1 Timothy 2:9, sometimes seems to be overlooked when some of our “sistas” are selecting their attire.  When we come together for fellowship, we really need to consider each other and not do things that might serve as a distraction…ladies you need to help your brothas in Christ,  you can look nice without revealing everything…

Real Talk…the only things we wanna see raised in Church in Hands…Ya Dig!  Act Like ya know!

Great message. I find it interesting the miles of clevage and thigh exposure seems to be the norm today … as if because we are in worship we are immune to thoughts that are inappropriate. Thanks for posting this Barry.

Thanx for commenting John, the drastic changes in culture are presenting new challenges for Christianity IMO, the line between right and wrong and even moral and immoral is slowly being erased..

There is a relationship somewhere between the message given by the girl in “that dress” and in Satan and “those stones be bread.” It was only a few generations ago that women dared to show an ankle. I agree with holyridaz. I think the generation today has become so desensitized to sex that the lines have become skewed.

Thanks for visiting and commenting Harold,
The lines have been skewed indeed.
